International Professional Training of Senior Assistant in France

As part of her professional development and international collaboration activities, Dr. Kristina Lekić Barunčić, Senior Research and Teaching Assistant on the project Epistemic Democracy in the Digital Era, participated in the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) entitled “European Philosophies of Technology,” held from 10 to 14 June 2025 at Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris.
The programme, organized in cooperation with the Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE) Alliance and partner universities from Cyprus and Florence, brought together distinguished international scholars, postdoctoral researchers, and doctoral students working in the field of philosophy of technology. It aimed to provide a broad perspective on the philosophy of technology, connecting diverse intellectual traditions and approaches that move beyond the Anglo-American framework and open space for European and intercultural philosophical views on technology.
During the five-day programme, participants attended lectures and discussions with leading international experts, including Federica Buongiorno (University of Florence), Xavier Guchet (University of Technology of Compiègne), Darryl Cressman (Maastricht University), and Andrew Feenberg (Simon Fraser University). The blended intensive programme was designed to strengthen participants’ research and analytical competences, encourage critical reflection on technology in its socio-philosophical context, and bridge academic theory with pressing questions of the digital society.
